Trevor St Baker

Trevor has over 60 years’ active involvement in the energy industry including 23 years in planning and leadership roles within NSW and QLD GOC electricity utilities. In 1980, Trevor moved into the private sector, founding companies which over several decades evolved into ERM Power. During that time, as Executive Chairman, Trevor established six gas-fired power stations in Queensland, Western Australia and NSW. This represented 50% of all new power generation developments constructed in Australia in the 2000s.

Trevor established ERM Power Pty Ltd in 2006 to undertake the construction and management of the six power stations and to expand downstream into business energy retailing. The company listed on the ASX as ERM Power Limited in December 2010 as a fully integrated energy company. Royal Dutch Shell launched a $617 million takeover bid and Shell Energy Australia completed the acquisition of ERM Power in November 2019.

Trevor founded StB Capital Partners, of which he is a Director and Deputy Chair. He is also a Director on the Board of the Manager. Trevor is a respected energy analyst in the Australian electricity sector and is actively engaged in public energy policy debate on the clean energy transformation in Australia and worldwide, continuing his lifetime passion of delivering internationally competitive electricity supply to business and to households; and the electrification of the transport and e-mobility sector both in Australia and overseas.

Robert Pritchard

Robert has been Non-Executive Chairman of the board of StBCP since 2015. Robert is also a Director on the Board of the Manager. He is responsible for oversight of all corporate governance functions and for the effective functioning of the Board as a whole. He is based in Sydney.

Robert has been the Executive Director of the Energy Policy Institute of Australia, Australia’s only apolitical and technology-neutral energy policy body, since 2009. This requires him to maintain a close knowledge of energy and climate policy issues at federal and state levels and acquaintance with political leaders and government officials.

Since 1988, Robert has been Managing Director of Resources at Law International Associates, a consultancy on energy and climate law and policy. He is also Chairman of the board of SMR Nuclear Technology, a technical consultancy, and a consultant to the Australian law firm Piper Alderman.

Chris Hay

Chris joined StBCP in November 2018 originally in the role of Chief Commercial Officer. He has since taken over as Managing Partner and CEO of the organisation. Chris is an investment professional with experience in identifying technology innovations and growing companies. He brings with him over 25 years’ experience in the energy, mobility and AI sectors. Chris is a member of the Fund II Investment Committee and also oversees the investment strategy and business development activities of a number of portfolio companies.

Prior to joining StBCP, Chris’ selective work experiences included General Manager of M&A at Caltex where he led a number of successful M&A transactions and early stage venture investments, Non-Executive Director of Car Next Door, Chief Executive and Founder of Ecosmart, Group General Manager of Jeminex when the company was sold to Bunzl, Group General Manager of SSG when company was sold to Tyco, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Genos (based on intellectual property from Swinburne University) and Director of Accenture’s Asia Pacific strategy and corporate development practice.

Chris holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Economics) from Murdoch University, an MBA (Entrepreneurship and Innovation) from Swinburne University (1994) and completed a post-graduate course in Strategy and Business Architecture at INSEAD.

Isabelle Demir

Isabelle joined the StBCP Fund II Investment Committee in August 2024. She brings over 23 years’ experience in principal investments and M&A in the infrastructure and private equity sectors. Isabelle has worked across Australasia, Europe, UK and the Middle East and served on the Boards and Committees of numerous energy and infrastructure companies.

Isabelle’s prior executive roles include Intermediate Capital Group Plc (Sydney) where she was Head of ANZ Infrastructure, Frontier Advisors (Melbourne) where she was Head of Real Assets and Private Equity, MENA Infrastructure Fund (Dubai) and Babcock & Brown (London) and HSBC Bank (London).

Isabelle holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honors) and Bachelor of Commerce (Honors) from the University of Sydney, and is a qualified legal practitioner. She is also a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Mark Woodall

As an entrepreneur, investor, adviser and board member, Mark has been a leader in the development and financing of renewable energy, carbon and clean technologies for over 25 years. He has founded and led two specialist investment banking firms focused on the low carbon economy: Impax Capital (1994) and Climate Change Capital (2002).

Mark has been the adviser, investor or principal in c. 100 cleantech transactions with total capital deployed of over US$5 billion. he has also acted as a non-executive board member of a dozen companies and has been a member of half a dozen investment committees for clean energy infrastructure and technology funds.

Mark has an MBA (Dean’s List) from Cranfield University and was an officer in the British Army.

Denis Sheehan

Denis joined StBCP in 2017 in the role of Senior Investment Associate. In his role, he manages a variety of venture capital, private equity and corporate finance related responsibilities covering diverse sectors within the energy and e-mobility industries. StBCP relies on Denis to lead the diligence process of investment opportunities, provide strategic thinking to investee companies on their business plans and assist with general fund operations. He is also a member of a number of Audit subcommittees for portfolio companies.

During Denis’ time with StBCP to date, he has been able to provide invaluable corporate development services and CFO support to a number of investee companies.

Prior to joining StBCP, Denis was a Corporate Development Associate at Transurban focusing on analysis and implementation of major projects across the Group, refinancing, M&A transactions, IRR, valuation related analysis and transaction management.

Denis holds a Bachelor of Business (Finance) from Queensland University of Technology, is a Chartered Accountant (CA) and CFA® charter-holder.

Stephanie Glass

Stephanie brings over 15 years of experience as a senior legal counsel and operating executive working across domestic and cross-border investments and transactions, securities offerings (seed through sale/IPO and follow-ons), M&A, corporate structuring and establishment, regulation & compliance and corporate governance.  Stephanie advises and supports Fund I, Fund II and various other investment vehicles for the St Baker family office. Stephanie also supports a portfolio of early and growth-stage investee companies with outside counsel and strategic advisory.

Stephanie has advised on public and private debt, equity and hybrid capital raising activities and closed over A$20 billion in equity transactions and more than US$20 billion in debt securities.

Stephanie’s prior experience includes roles as senior legal counsel with Baker McKenzie and Sullivan & Cromwell in Sydney, New York and London and she was formerly a start-up founder of a data centre business and a consultant specialising in the technology and energy sectors.

Stephanie holds a Juris Doctor in International Law from the University of Sydney, a Bachelor of Business Administration from the College of William & Mary in the United States and holds current practicing qualifications to practice law in Australia and the United States. Stephanie is a graduate of the Stanford Executive Program from the Standford University Graduate School of Business.

Housheng Zhou

Housheng is an experienced engineer with strong capabilities in data analytics and mathematical modelling developed from pursuing a PhD in renewable energy engineering. He also holds a Bachelor's degree in renewable energy engineering and in commerce, for which he was awarded a university medal. He brings a combination of technical and commercial capabilities to contribute to StBCP’s investment decision and business strategy activities.

Housheng joined StBCP in January 2023 and provides technical and analytical support for the due diligence process.

Richard Li

Richard brings experience across private market investments, financial due diligence, and project management to StBCP, along with a passion for working with diverse teams.

Most recently, Richard was at NZ Super Fund, New Zealand’s Sovereign Wealth Fund, where he worked on the deployment of over US$450m across climate, sustainable solutions and energy transition investments globally. In addition to being the Lead Analyst for NZ Super Fund’s Sustainable Transition mandate, he was also a member of the Impact Investments Working Group that developed the Fund’s Impact Investments Framework.

Richard began his finance career as part of EY’s Transactions and Corporate Finance team, where he was involved in ~US$1.5bn of transactions across Australia and New Zealand.

Richard holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Auckland with majors in Finance and Business Analytics, and First Class Honours in Information Systems. While studying, he also worked as a project assistant for a 27-hectare residential development, founded a short-term rental property management company, and co-developed an automation solution for Fonterra that reduced the time required to perform a logistics planning cycle by 88%.

Michele Liddy

Michele joined StBCP in February 2017 as Executive Assistant to Trevor St Baker and Chris Hay. Since then, the role has expanded to include administration support to executives and staff for various investee companies including Printed Energy, Evie Networks, TCRT and other portfolio companies as required. More recently Michele’s role has been expanded to include Company Secretary services for StBCP and several new-start companies within the investment portfolio.

Michele has over 25 years’ experience in Executive Administration and Human Resources roles mainly in the hospitality and gaming industry and not-for-profit sector. Before joining StBCP, Michele held various roles at the Royal Flying Doctor Service, and prior to that at the Star Entertainment Group and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
